I LOVE making vintage styled Christmas cards, they are my favorite.
First, I covered a white base card with paper from Recollections (see supply list below).

Third, I covered it with Fired Brick Distress ink. Last, I immediately added clear embossing powder to it and heated it up. I do that because the white acrylic paint acts as a resist and the Fired Brick ink would fade away, completely. It would fade because Distress inks are water based and will resist when on Acrylic Paint.

I used Fabulous Finds for the entire card except for 1 piece which is optional. There are 2 options, in my CUT file, for #3 which you can see on the sketch to the left. I added another page where I have a scalloped piece instead of the rectangle. You can see that in the card I made. I didn't use it in this card but I decided to use the scalloped rectangle since it looked so good in the card. You would need Cricut's Plantin Schoolbook cartridge for that.
